Our Wonderful World
International watercolour exhibition tour "IWET Our Wonderful World"
The project is intended to become a conductor of mutual understanding, kindness, and tolerance between watercolour artists from the most remote corners of our planet. The beauty of our wonderful world has always united artists, regardless of nationality, religion, or political views. The artist's vocation is to bring beauty to this world, being in harmony with nature and with each other. We invited everyone to share their work and remind all spectators and participants of the exhibition how beautiful the world around us is.
The first exhibition took place in 2018 in Kharkiv. More than 150 artists from 30 countries of the world took part in the project. The festival dedicated to the opening of the exhibition lasted 7 days. The rich program included excursion programs, master classes, plein-airs, demonstrations of skills, presentations and drawings of products. More than 50 artists from around the world took part in the festival.
In 2021, the exhibition acquired the format of an international tour organized by the International Foundation of contemporary watercolour art Step by Step and the International watercolour community IWS Ukraine.
The exhibition took place in four cities of Ukraine and Poland. Due to quarantine restrictions, the organizers could not carry out the project in total in 2020. We decided to conduct an additional online program, within which an online exhibition with a prize drawing, an online festival with demonstrations of skills from project participants was held.
In Kharkiv, as part of the exhibition tour, the International Festival of Watercolour Art was held. During the festival, the participants visited the Feldman ECO park. And, according to tradition, the participants created a joint "7-meter" watercolour dedicated to the inhabitants of this unique multi-complex. Masterclasses, challenges, Plein airs, and cultural events, presentations of art partners, and prize drawings - all this and many more activities made the tour one of the most significant events in the field of watercolour art in 2021.
